Experience:

• 5+ years Quality Assurance experience in testing travel software products and releases.

• Quality Engineering and automation experience.

• Experience building and managing QA Teams.

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle methodologies (ie, waterfall, agile).

• Strong understanding of release management processes.

• Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, standards, and best practices.

• Understanding of database schemas and querying tools (ie, SQL).

• API automated testing expertise.

• Strong analytical, technical, and detail-oriented skills.

• Regression testing automation setup, execution, and optimization

• Ability to think outside the box when writing test plans/test cases.

• Experience communicating with developers off shore, specifically India

• Fluent in speaking and writing Hindi.

• Steadfast focus on digging for software defects and producing highest quality deliverables.

• Ability to concentrate on detail while understanding the big picture.

• Ability to contribute in a team environment.

• Knowledge of travel systems, including but not limited to Sabre, or Worldspan, or Amadeus, and/or Airline applications.

• Knowledge of Solarium or Microsoft Test Manager, HP Test Director, etc.

• Previous experience testing American Airlines site for business direct.

• Have a technical background and Masters in computer science.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and test new or modified travel software products.

• Provide breakdown of QA tasks and time estimates for planning.

• Develop and document test strategy for onshore and offshore teams.

• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases.

• Identify, analyze, and report test results.

• Report, track, and monitor defects in the defect tracking system.

• Provide input toward developing Quality Assurance standards.

• Work in a highly collaborative environment with a team of software developers, online support analysts, project and product managers.

• Communicate verbally and in writing with India development team.

• Communicate effectively with ITS Team and with ITS clients directly as work mandates.

• Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Willingness to work flexible and/or extended hours as necessary.

• Ability to “think outside the box”.
