The Cyber System Assessments Group provides the U.S. Government with independent assessments of cyber systems and capabilities, and research and prototypes of cyber capabilities. The Cyber Systems Assessments group has a need for a Quality Assurance Engineer for technical documentation development with experience performing quality assurance to verify high quality software for the full stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Cyber Systems Assessments group has a need for a Quality Assurance Engineer for technical documentation development with experience performing quality assurance to verify high quality software for the full stack. 

•    The candidate will verify, validate, and document technical programs utilizing modern software engineering techniques, programming tools, and support processes for Laboratory program managers and technical staff. 
•    Participate in defining and describing program deliverables/functionalities. E
•    Evaluate and propose use of open source and commercial software, frameworks, and tools where applicable
•    The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of basic computer science fundamentals from operating systems to networking
    
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
•    PhD plus 5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 8 years 
•    The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of basic computer science fundamentals from operating systems to networking
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
•    Software/applications: markdown, github enterprise (github pages & Jekyll), prince (pdf conversions), adobe acrobat, gimp, libvirt command line (virsh, etc.), fusion, linux command line, Microsoft office (including word and visio)
•    Documenting, debugging, and executing software in a Windows and Linux environment
•     Specifying and verifying models and simulations
•     Experience with technical documentation and quality assurance across full-stack

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Experience with software configuration management
•    Agile and Scrum methodologies
•    Experience with atom.io ide with markdown extensions

WORKING LOCATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO
•    Location: Lexington, Ma
•    Duration: 3 years and 40 hours a week
•    Travel: Infrequent, approximately once every 4-6 months for a period of 1-2 days.
•    Employment Status: Full-Time Employee with full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, PTO, Retirement)
•    Other: All candidates must also successfully pass a Commercial Background Investigation (CBI).
