Position Summary:

Segue Technologies seeks a Quality Assurance Analyst to support the Secretary of the Air Force’s (SAF) Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and A6 (SAF/CIO A6) systems and associated business processes which provide IT investment portfolio management capabilities to the Air Force. This is a full-time position located at Andrews Air Force Base with potential travel to Washington, DC and customer site at the Pentagon.


Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·        Provide quality assurance standards, performance and functionality for enterprise-wide IT projects

·        Develops and implements quality control methodologies to ensure that all system applications and products meet organization standards and business requirements/use cases

·        Develop and implement software quality assurance tests to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects

·        Document, reproduce, and report on bugs and errors

·        Document, track and communicate test results, and analyze unresolved problems

·        Offer feedback on enhancing the usability and performance of the application

·        Participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle

·        Actively contribute to the team effort to maintain the vision and direction of the project

·        Provide creative and practical solutions to meet the project requirements

·        Create test plans, test scripts and plan projects based on the analysis of IT technical specifications

·        Review IT functional specifications and create/review test cases

·        Efficiently and effectively communicate status of assigned tasks to Project Manager

·        Contribute to review and inspection meetings by providing input on requirements and design documents

·        Identify, analyze and document IT hardware/software defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies and deviations from standards and suggest options to conform to standards, individually and in a team environment

·        Instruct, direct and review IT Quality Assurance of the work of others and/or act as an internal consultant to management on complex application projects, software, work methods or procedures

·        Additional tasks as required


Required Skills:

·        Bachelor's degree in IT Systems, Engineering, or other technical field plus 5 - 7years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

·        Excellent written and oral communications skills

·        Ability to work without direct supervision and in a team environment

·        IAT Level II Certification required (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security)

·        Active Knowledge and experience in databasetechnology and writing test scripts including SQL, queries and creating test data

·        Experience in all phases of Application Life cycle including systems analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and maintenance

·        Experienceworking withWindows, LINUX, UNIX

·        Active Secret Clearance


Desired Skills:

·        Experience providing software application support

·        Previous experienceworking with customers is preferred
