Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for nearly half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst II to join the MSA IT/OPS division which has been offering data and insight solutions to the Consumer Package Goods industry since the early 1980s.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of QA methodologies, strong problem solving and information gathering skills, and have experience designing, developing, and executing test strategies and test plans in a large-scale date warehouse environment. This position provides active participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system and business process requirements and design test strategies, test plans and test cases to ensure test coverage
  • Develop and execute manual and automated tests at all test phases to verify application readiness for production implementation
  • Work with the project team to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle, including reviewing specifications and identifying and resolving software defects
  • Validate developer-implemented resolutions to defects
  • Configure and manage test environments for software testing
  • Ability to utilize, design and develop automated test plans and test scripts
  • Ability to utilize automation testing software

Required Skills

  • Requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in software quality assurance environment
  • Experience in testing GUI applications and backend database functionality
  • Experience defining test strategies, test plans, comprehensive test cases and scripts
  • Experience with all types of testing: Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, Negative
  • Ability to analyze requirements and ability to elicit additional information concerning requirements from stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in both Waterfall and Agile environments
  • Ability utilizing Agile processes and tools, preferably Atlassian stack, i.e. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo
