The Quality Assurance Analyst position within the ClaimsXten Implementation Services organization works as a member of the Quality Assurance team to provide both manual and automated testing services to various Client Services teams serving ClaimsXten and ClaimsXten Select customers.

The QA Analyst’s main responsibilities are installing, configuring and maintaining customer QA environments, as well as, performing testing activities, both manual and automated, related to new customer implementations and ongoing customer enhancements to ensure that deliverables are made in a timely manner and are of high quality.

The role of the QA Analyst is to provide both manual testing and ongoing deployment, maintenance and execution of automated test suites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define, develop, maintain and execute both manual and automated test scripts to ensure that functional requirements are met. Test and sign-off on releases.

2. Set-up, install, test and maintain QA environments and test data.

3. Coordinate with internal resources to clarify requirements, specifications, and issues, review test scripts, and manage test cycles.

4. Manage defects and QA artifacts through an online tracking tool.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education/Training

  • 4-yeardegree in computer science, related field or equivalent experience

Business Experience (include minimum years of experience)

  • 5+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • 2+ years of test automation experience.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

  • Must possess strong analytical skills for interpreting customer requirements.
  • Must have a strong background in software QA best practices, testing and validation concepts.
  • Must be able to work as an integral member of a distributed, collaborative team.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting within your team and customers.
  • Must possess the ability to lead meetings with customers on QA related matters.
  • Must process the ability to learn and apply both in-house and off-the-shelf tools that assist in performing your job.
  • Must be a self-starter that requires little supervision to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work.
  • Must have direct experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
  • Must be proficient in at least one programming language - .Net is a plus
  • Should have experiencetroubleshooting technical issues that arise during the testing process.
  • Should have basic to intermediate SQL skills.
  • Should have experienceworking with command line utilities, remote desktop clients, Windows services and XML.
  • Should be proficient with Microsoft’s Office suite.
  • Experience with Jira a plus.
  • Experience with Fitnesse automation tool a big plus.

Recommend:

  • Knowledge/experience within the healthcare industry. Medical claims and/or coding experience a plus.
  • Basic software development lifecycle knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows server operating systems.
  • Experience working with Oracle Databases.
