As the Quality Assurance Center of Excellence (COE) and Operational Excellence (OE) Manager for Mediware you will be responsible for defining, managing, and continuously improving the corporate QA strategy, artifacts, practices, and tool selection/implementation. To accomplish this, the QA COE and OE manager will establish and manage a team involved in quality and maturity assessments of the software engineering processes and artifacts across the Mediware corporation; best practice advisory; standards definition; Quality Operational Excellence measurements and improvements; construction and upkeep of a customer quality and SDLC release centric QA metrics dashboard; provide metrics based insights, prediction, feedback into the SDLC; measure failed customer interactions & site reliability measurements; champion Voice of Customer based Quality representation into the product groups and software engineering teams.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree. Preferred majors are Quality Assurance Science, Quality Management, Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or other STEM related majors.
Minimum 5 years of direct work experience in Quality leadership roles including all aspects of quality process development and execution, as well as managing a range of disciplines including, but not limited to Quality Assessors, Quality Engineers, DBAs, Technical Analysts, Business Analysts. At least 3 years of direct people management experience, assisting employees with career development.
Experience creating, managing, and maintaining a quality assurance roadmap that supports the corporation-wide product roadmaps.
Experience with aligning software test automation to Agile practices and incorporating quality practices into Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
Strong evidence of proven demonstrable experience in creating and visualizing actionable quality metrics expressing the degree of quality attained by the various product and engineering groups.
Proven experience in representing the voice of the customer and driving insights-driven quality improvement efforts on behalf of the customer resulting in continuous improvements to the overall level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Strong interpersonal skills including problem solving, decision making, influencing, managing change and working with diverse and geographically distributed teams.
Attention to detail, professional presentation skills, and the ability to work with complex projects

Business Intelligence and Analytics (e.g.: Tableau, Oracle, MicroStrategy, SAP, Splunk)
Customer Insights (e.g., TeaLeaf, ClickTale)
Ability to manage and motivate a team with focus on both the company’s and the customer’s goals
Experience with Mediware’s and/or a competitor’s application would be helpful
