Job Description:

  • HALT stands for Highly Accelerated Life Test, wherE the design/prototype (during product developmental phase) is being subject to harsh environmentalthermal & mechanical vibration) condition with the purpose of revealing the design weakness(es) and todetermine the design margin, prior to A0 production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) Operation Team seeks a Test Engineer, who will be responsible to perform HALT process for various products (including OEM, ODM and JDM) 
  • job function incudes review of product specification, test development (leveraging the industry standards of reliability testing), execute test plans, and automate
  • the HALT test process in an ultra-fast pace environment. 
  • The HALT Test Engineer shall demonstrate the ability to learn and adopt new
  • technologies, and related testing techniques quickly to keep up with rapidly evolving of the industry trends. 
  • The position calls for a tenacious and
  • methodological engineering mentality, with strong multi-tasking & problem-solving skills, an ability to promote cooperation & collaboration among colleagues and cross-functional teams.

In addition, the Test Engineer position will also perform the following responsibilities:

  • Understand product specifications, features and operations. 
  • Expertise on the different networking standard and protocols to develop a specific, and robust fault detection strategies for new and existing products.
  • Develop HALT test plan that describes in details the test flow, purpose and coverage of each test case. 
  • Live network traffic design and configuration for the unit under test, with the objective is to stress the unit to the maximum designed bandwidth, also verifying all the different protocols and networking features.
  • Customize for the diagnostics SW environmental parameters to provide the best test coverage on the targeted focus circuit areas, and the fastest fault duplications and isolation. 
  • All of which required a good understanding of the HW architecture and the system diagnostics coverage.
  • Design, procure and fabricate test fixtures and equipment for the different test beds.
  • Strong Automation script development is required; TE must be proficient on scriptinglanguages like
  • Autotest, Pearl, Python, and TCL/TK. UNIX and LINUX experience is desirable. 
  • Perform the Production and Field FA cases to
  • identify root cause, and drive corrective action through close loop process.
  • The HALT TE shall have the ability to influencetechnical strategies. 
  • Demonstrate strategic skills.
  • Resolve complex problems to root cause and drive pro-active solutions. 
  • Has in-depth understanding of test tools, techniques, manufacturing practices, reliability test technology, and resource relationships. 
  • Use the knowledge of state-of-the-art applications to contribute to the business direction.
  • Has the ability to train and mentor colleagues.
  • Identify and implement projects relevant to business strategies. 
  • Be able to formulate and deliver complex presentations to all levels. 
  • Develop and nurture cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Solve complex problems in creative and effective ways. 
  • Possess the in-depth knowledge of current industry test techniques, strategies and processes. 
  • Has the ability to apply extensive experience as a networking generalist or specialist.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have generally good knowledge of network opologies/protocols, and specifically with products (switch, router, wireless, etc ?).
  • Must proficient with Cisco OS (IOS, XR, Nexus OS, etc ?).
  • Excellent command of network test equipment,such as Spirent, IXIA, Agilent, JDSU, etc 
  • Excellent knowledge on Window, Linux, VMware,and UCS/Server.
  • Working knowledge of environmental chambersand reliability concept.
  • BSEE plus 7years Test Engineering experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficient in computer programming.
  • Good communication and people skill.
  • Ability to read and understand complex design circuit schematic.
  • Cloud computing experience.
