Kforce has a client seeking a Python Test Automation Developer in Austin, TX. Overview: At the heart of Product Development is an artificial intelligence-based threat detection system. Unlike traditional approaches, the client does not rely solely on signatures or even pre-determined behaviors to determine if something is known to be good or bad. Instead, they have developed a mathematical approach to identifying advanced threats. This intelligent system evolves in real-time as new threats emerge, providing continuous detection. The client sees quality as more than just defects. As a member of the Test team, the ideal candidate will represent their customers and their users to ensure every aspect of the product is simple, intuitive and works as expected. The client's mission is to protect their customers' computers without being noticed. The individual's expertise will contribute to a powerful endpoint product that uses minimal resources while preventing the most advanced malware and zero-day attacks from ever even running. Responsibilities:

  • Build advanced tools for test automation
  • Help identify weaknesses in our products
  • Work with the development and test team to help define and maintain quality standards
  • Take ownership of product quality


  • Two plus years of Software Testing experiencepreferred or other related experiences
  • Experience working with white-box testing methodologies (as well as some Black Box testing) is preferred
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and on Agile teams is preferred
  • Experience working with CLI (Jenkins) is preferred
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Selenium, Load Runner, PyTest etc. is preferred
  • Problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills at the desktop level and with OSX systems
  • Intermediate knowledge of SDLC and testing skills
  • Proven and demonstrable skill in Python is preferred or other related programming languages such as (C#, Ruby, or Java); Python Robot is the framework they use, but this is not a mandatory skill set
  • A strong passion for improving software quality
  • Flexible and adaptable self-starter with strong relationship-building skills
  • Must have a passion for your work and an ability to apply that passion to both daily tasks and larger projects
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to take initiative and approaches all tasks and projects proactively
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision
