Customer Technical Service (CTS) organization is seeking a qualified candidate to provide engine hardware technical support to our airline customers and our engine overhaul shops. The NGPF CTS organization supports the PW1200G, PW1500G, PW1700G, PW1900G and the PW800 engine models. The successful candidate will work directly with Program Office, CIPT Engineering Teams, Airframers, Field Representatives, Airline Customers, Global Operations Center (24 hr helpdesk) and Engine Center Engineering Teams to address technical service issues pertaining to assigned hardware responsibilities.
Currently, we are anticipating the need to fill the hardware specialist roles:
Hot Section Externals and Nacelle High Pressure Compressor
Typical duties include
Development of maintenance and retrofit plans to ensure that airline customers have reliable and cost-effective operations. This includes familiarity with Teamcenter, EC’s, EA’s SB’s, SI’s and engine manuals procedures/instructions.
2. Conduct in-service investigations following significant events, support engineeringinvestigation of returned engines and/or hardware and establish corrective actions plans.
Preparation of technical communications to airline customers advising them of new issues or in response to Eaglenet technical inquiries. Close coordination with engineering CIPT’s, Chief Engineers, Program Managers, Field Representatives, 24 hr helpdesk personnel, Airframers and internal and external groups to resolve design, in-service, or support problems. Review of new or changed designs for impact on airline requirements thru the CCB and ETR process. Recommend configuration standards or technical/logistical support requirements for airline customer’s and engine shop MRO facilities. Review/coordinate service bulletins (P&W, Vendor) and any related Component maintenance manuals (CMM’s) (P&W, Vendor) as required. Work closely and coordinate with category 1 supplier’s such as UTAS. Participate in customer communication activities, including technical conferences, regional forums or meetings, and on-site service readiness assistance/training.
Qualification: 0+ years experience in test, design, overhaul and/or repair engineering or equivalent. General knowledge of gas turbine engines and experience with airline customers is preferred. We value excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good interpersonal and team player qualities.Position requires flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and ability to multi-task across engine disciplines and models.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field is required. An advanced degree is a plus
