Job Summary:

This position is responsible and accountable for managing the planning and procurement activities of the Purchasing Team for Purchased Finished Goods (Resale products) in support of customer demand and in line with working capital (inventory) guidelines. This position plays a key role in the coordination of the S&OP Supply Review, Development of supply plan (Resale products), alignment with the demand plan, updating supply information in SAP, effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, development and implementation of inventory plan (including safety stock) aligned with the corporate working capital objectives and driving continuous process improvement along the way. This position is also responsible for timely conversion of requisitions to purchase orders, master data integrity, order monitoring, communicating changes internally and to suppliers, expediting materials from suppliers, and selecting cost effective transport and freight terms.

Job Duties:

  • Managing the daily activities of the Purchasing team (Resale products)
  • Participating in the S&OP process while working in conjunction the Director of Supply Chain
  • Development and implementation of a Supply Plan thus aligning with the Demand Plan resulting from the Demand Review
  • Development and implementation of Inventory and Safety Stock plan in line with corporate financial objectives
  • Drive continuous process improvement of masterscheduling and purchasing processes for Resale products
  • Analyze material requirements, convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Communicate changes and update information in SAP
  • Update MRP and MM master data
  • Monitor Purchasing performance reports and take corrective action
  • Manage communication and relationships with key suppliers
  • Develop and communicate procurement plan for key suppliers
  • Expedite orders to meet customer requirements
  • Optimize transportation of materials using consolidation strategies
  • Issue and follow up on Vendor non – conformances and root cause corrective action reports
  • Assist with vendor returns, process claims for damaged / material shortages.
  • Develop and implement Supplier Performance Management metrics (Supplier Scorecard) for Resale suppliers


  • Manage activities of the Purchasing Team (Resale products) ensuring timely conversion of requisitions to purchase orders to support customer requirements
  • S&OP Supply Review activities
  • On time Service level (Delivery Performance based on 1st Requested date) for Resale products
  • Inventory level is in line with corporate working capital goals
  • Planning and Purchasing master data for Resale products
  • Timely communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Monitoring and reporting of KPI’s for both Purchasing and Inventory amongst others for Resale products
  • Continuous process improvement of planning and purchasing process for Resale products
  • Managing Supplier relationships
