Position Title: Purchasing Manager
Manage a procurement team focused on delivering supply chain process, procedure, and customer service support to both internal and external customer
Essential Job Functions
Manage the activities of direct reports to assure the efficient flow of supply chain interactions into the organization.
Assist in facilitating and resolving day to day supply chain management decisions
Partner with Internal and External Audit teams to ensure compliance with key audit controls owned within the Supply Chain organization
Research and develop new strategic purchasing practices, train, and implement improvement opportunities
Monitor and maintain the integrity of the purchase order process.
Develop and manage strategic business relationships with leaders throughout the company.
Lead efforts to ensure companywide training and communication exists for all elements of the supply chain management team.
Manage the workflow of the Supply Chain Management day to day help desk and processing requests
Initiate, develop and implement strategic improvements with internal customers to lower costs and improve cycle times of the “procure to pay” process.
Partner with Human Resources to recruit, train and develop staff. Additional responsibilities include ensuring that individual objectives are established and reviewed using the performance management process to reward excellence and address sub-par performance.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
Five (5) or more years of related or industry specific experience
Technical knowledge of the purchasing function
Technical knowledge of the wireless industry helpful
Ability to effectively communicate with subordinates and management
Advanced knowledge of work flow problems, critical path and institute remedies
Advanced knowledge of J.D. Edwards
Reports to: Director, Cost Accounting

Working Conditions: Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Some travel
