Blue Aerospace is a Global Supply Chain Provider, and an industry leader in the provisioning of a wide range of innovative services and support concepts to military end users and their maintenance partners worldwide.
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our Tamarac office. Job duties for the position require:
- Process all purchase orders to vendors.
- Contract review to ensure all terms and conditions are flowed down to vendor.
- Ensure all customer requirements are communicated to suppliers via our purchase orders.
- Assisting export compliance process with ITAR category determination (with manufacturers).
- Qualifying new suppliers and completing supplier surveys.
- Monitoring existing suppliers to ensure their certifications are up to date.
- Updating open orders and providing customers with latest status via company portal.
- Weekly meetings with preferred manufacturers and customers.
- Communicate and track purchase order issues to be resolved by the sales department with the customer (expedited delivery, variance to supplier quoted quantities, alternate PN, certification / traceability, etc).
- Obtain pricing, discounts and determine availability from vendors for items identified by management to purchase for stock or for routine customer requests.
- Coordinate with vendor and logistics team on routine and urgent deliveries.
- Special project work as need by management.
Skills required are:
- Three years minimum of Management experience
- Previous experience in an aerospace environment required
- Knowledge of Quantum database or similar ERP is a plus
- Very strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Must have problem solving skills, be self-motivated and organized.
