Plans, coordinates and supervises the staff of the Public Service Program.

Job Essentials:

  • Supervises the Public Service Program and staff by: coordinating projects, work schedules and transportation for in-house construction crew(s) which include skilled community service clients;
  • Ensures supplies and equipment needs are available to perform projects by contacting vendors, obtaining bids, recommending vehicle and other equipment purchases and prepares the operating budget;.
  • Oversees the daily pickup of recycled products from 70 sites throughout Dallas County to ensure products are transported and appropriately sorted, prepared and ready for pickup by outside vendors; and
  • Ensures maintenance and upkeep of program vehicles and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:   Education and experience equivalent to an Associatedegree from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study. Five (5) years of work related experience or 75 hours from an accredited college or university or a combination of the two. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license, with a good driving record. Mandatory drug testing prior to employment and will be subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing during employment. Requires prolonged walking and standing and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., assisted. Ability to work in varied conditions (i.e., heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, etc.), inside and outside. Must be able to work varied days and shift schedules, to include weekends and holidays. Required to operate 15-passenger vans.

Salary range: $4231.34/monthly. - 5281.02/monthly
