Under general supervision, responsible for building brand awareness through PR efforts, stunts and research initiatives. Works in both B:B and B:C channels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned,
Works with key stakeholders and outside agency to drive awareness of the AAA Travel brand through PR, regional brand partnerships, community marketing, influencers, promotions, speaking opportunities, stunts, research driven campaigns and social media.
Works with Travel Partnership and Discounts/Rewards teams to leverage relationships and marketing; and with public affairs to understand and coordinate any Club level communications.
In coordination with Marketing management, develops and refines measurement strategies for PR campaigns. Keeping accurate and timely record of event traffic, production, and inventory.
Conduct reliable and accurate media research (editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media/analyst list development) and provide teams with industry-relevant news and research.
Develop and maintains relationships with various Marketing functions including e-business, creative, social, as well as Corporate Affairs group, ensuring the brand integrity is upheld in all PR activity.
Identifying new opportunities and efficiency innovations.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications or related field and 7 to 9 years of experience required.
5 to 7 years PR experience in travel or lifestyle products
5 to 7 years traffic and sales experience
Proven track record of creating campaigns that drive awareness and engagement
Strong network of regional northeast press, and influencers
Understands content development and how to build viral campaigns.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and set priorities
Strong attention to detail
Leadership characteristics and entrepreneurial, “can do” spirit
Decisive and effective problem-solving ability
Able to work in a team environment
Flexible and adaptable
Intermediate-to-expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
