Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal and external teams to create and develop both brand and communication strategies, as well as standards and practices company-wide that meet the behavior, emotion and recognition objectives of the company
  • Draft a wide range of written materials (press releases, articles, communications plans, executive speaking points, and social media content)
  • Carries out media placement activities with local and national media, key reporters and online influencers
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns targeted toward key customer segments to drive leads and revenue
  • Conduct analysis to evaluate marketing initiatives and measure success
  • Complete ad hoc projects as needed
  • Contribute to social media strategy

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related
  • 5-7 years of public relations agency experience
  • Crisis, travel and tourism practice area experience a plus
  • Advanced media relations experience with established media contacts, placements, and successes
  • Persuasive and articulate communicator with experience and comfort in giving high level presentations
  • Social media management experience, including creating content and content calendars
  • Proven client service skills/expertise
  • Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with others, independently, and virtually as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media, PR & media monitoring software (ex. Cision, FPInfomart, Factiva, Radian6).
