Primary Purpose: Psychology Post-Doctoral Fellows at University Health Services provide individual psychotherapy and psychometric assessment for the University of Cincinnati student population. This is a traineeship completed under the supervision of one or more licensed clinical psychologists and allied mental health professionals. All relevant portions of the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code, as well as the American Psychological Association Code of Ethics and Ohio Board of Psychology licensure standards are adhered to in this training position. Goals include: development/expansion of clinical skills; participation in training activities; and participation in biopsychosocial college student healthcare system.
Knowledge and Skills
Education: PhD/PsyD Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology
Years of Experience: Scheduled to certify, license or graduate within 12 months, minimum required, but preferred. One to two years equivalent experience, minimum but preferred.
License and Certification: This is a training position completed under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. Post-Doctoral Fellows must provide certification from their training program that they have completed their doctoral program requirements. If there is a gap between completion of program requirements and date of degree conferral that elapses the Fellow's start date, a letter from the applicant's Program Chair or Director of Clinical Training is suitable for this purpose.
Required Skills and Knowledge: Successful completion of pre-doctoral coursework in clinical/counseling psychology, including psychological assessment coursework.
Successful completion of pre-doctoral internship in clinical/counseling psychology.
Minimum 2 pre-doctoral practicum/traineeship experiences.
