Responsibilities

  • Conducts psychological assessments and interventions in the primary care setting
  • May serve child, adolescent and adult populations
  • Provide direct clinical care in psychology, including brief assessments and interventions, in a primary care setting
  • Develop behaviorally-focused, outcomes-based treatment plans of care that address mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders
  • Engage the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals in psychotherapy
  • Assess and utilize various treatment modalities (individual, family, group or focused/short session psychotherapy)
  • Provide a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week
  • Champion primary care behavioral health, a model of integrated care that focuses on the full spectrum of patient health through close collaboration with multi-disciplinary primary care teams
  • Consult with primary care providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of their patients
  • Develop and lead staff education in psychological issues
  • Participate in relevant and ongoing professional training
  • Demonstrates and adheres to Allinas commitment to care

Education

  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or LICSW

Qualification/Skills

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years licensed practice in psychological services preferred
  • Experience in the field of health psychology and/or the primary care environment would be highly desirable
