The MGH Department of Psychiatry is recruiting a full or part-time Ph.D./Psy.D. Psychologist or LICSW with expertise in couples and family therapy to work at Home Base, a philanthropically supported program established in 2009 as a partnership between the Red Sox Foundation and the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Home Base is dedicated to improving the lives of service members, veterans, and family members who live with service- or combat-related “invisible wounds,” stress and/or traumatic brain injury through clinical care, provider and community education and innovative research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessment and treatment of couples and family members impacted by PTSD, traumatic brain injury, co-occurring substance use and related mental health conditions.
Applicants will have experience with a wide range of evidence-based couples and family therapies such as EFT, CBCT for PTSD, C-TAP, CRAFT and their use to ameliorate relationship and family functioning in the context of trauma, substance use, and family violence.
The individual will provide care to family members primarily within the Outpatient Clinic with participation in the Intensive Outpatient Program as needed. Experience with military populations a plus.
The position may allow for research, education and training opportunities, if appropriate to the applicant’s experience and interest, and the availability of funding.
Successful applicants may be eligible for a Harvard Medical School appointment. Massachusetts license is required. MGH is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. Minorities and women are strongly urged to apply.
