The Counseling and Psychological Services contribute to student learning and development. We provide exceptional services and programming focused on student mental health. The Student Counseling Service exists to advance student development and academic success by providing personalized and evidenced-based mental health care to Aggies.
What we want
This Psychologist I will provide culturally informed outreach and prevention services to underrepresented racial and ethnic minority students. This position will engage in culturally informed assessment, short-term counseling, and case management services with students as needed. Responsible for building relationships across campus with students, faculty, staff, and administrators and providing consultation services that support students’ mental health and well being as well as their retention, persistence, and graduation rates.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a pronounced commitment to student success, particularly of racial and ethnic minority students, a commitment to providing culturally informed consultation concerning general mental health concerns and specific student situations and a demonstrated commitment to working with college populations, specifically those with multiple marginalized identities.
