A full-time Psychiatrist position is now available with Liberty Healthcare at the San Diego Central Jail located in downtown San Diego. In the fall of 2019, this position will transfer to the George F. Bailey Detention Facility – located in southern San Diego County, about twenty minutes east of Chula Vista, CA.

This position will be responsible for providing "outpatient" psychiatric services to inmates within the jail. This includes assessing clients, formulating diagnoses, prescribing and managing medications and collaborating with ancillary clinicians.

Skills & Requirements

Well-qualified candidates will have successfully completed a residency in Psychiatry and be licensed to practice medicine in California. Both early career and experienced Psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.
