Louis Berger is looking for a Transportation Marketing/Proposal Coordinator to work in a fast-paced, team environment, reporting to the Director of Marketing. We are looking for a driven, creative professional to provide a full range of support for the firm’s business development and marketing needs. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines and work independently. The ideal candidate will embrace the opportunity to promote our exciting projects in creative ways, bring new ideas to the table, and grow with the company.

This individual’s primary duties will be to shepherd the proposal process from start to finish, working effectively with technical staff in Louis Berger’s nationwide offices and lead the capture management strategy of various proposal efforts. This position will be responsible for honing win themes/selling points, ensuring schedules are met and final products are fully-compliant and of the utmost quality.

This position requires proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM software (Deltek GovWin). Graphic design experience and employment in the A/E/C industry are a plus.

The ideal candidate will:

    • Coordinate proposals, qualifications packages, and presentation materials

    • Perform detailed analysis of RFQ/RFP documents and collaborate with members of proposal team to develop strategy

    • Establish production schedule, developing a resource plan to ensure a timely response

    • Coach the capture management team through proposal, shortlist and interview preparations

    • Interview and write portions of the proposal including project descriptions, descriptions of services, cover letters, resumes and organizational charts; edit and supplement all written technical materials i.e. project approaches

    • Design and refine high-quality visuals and narratives

    • Maintain and create new material

    • Manage CRMdatabase (Deltek GovWin)

    • Document project progress with photography and video

    • Contribute to brand identity development and implementation; maintain brand standards

    • Contribute to key marketing initiatives and best-practice knowledge sharing

    • Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with senior management and marketing team

    • Thrive in a fast paced environment and effectively handle multiple time-sensitive requests


The successful candidate will have the following:

We are looking for a conscientious, motivated, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity and flexibility, have a positive attitude and be a team player. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to adapt to different communication styles are required as well as an ability to work calmly and efficiently to produce quality, error-free work. Bachelor's Degree in marketing or communications, journalism, business, graphic design or related field is required.  5-7+ years of marketing experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry is desired.

    • 5-7 years of experience within a B2B marketing department

    • Experience in the transportation market delivering winning proposals for NY/NJ agencies including MTA, NYCDDC, NYSDOT, PANYNJ, NYCDEP, NJDOT, etc.

    • B.A. or B.S. in related field of study

    • Highly organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker. Independent self-starter with effective people and negotiation skills.

    • Superb writing and editing skills.

  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.) required.
