Job Responsibilities

As the Government Property Manager of Viasat's Property Administration team, you lead and set the direction for a small team of Property Administrators. You will manage and ensure continual accountability and control of government and customer property in accordance with applicable government regulations and corporate policy. You will establish and maintain control of property and records through document collection and verification, physical inventories, analyze and assess property records and lifecycle outcomes, manage disposition cases, review contracts for closeout verification, and prepare for audits through record retrieval and reporting. In this role, you will interface with various departments including Materials Management, Supply Chain, Program Management, Contracts and Accounting to resolve complex property issues. In addition, you will be the primary point of contact for all property matters with DCMA, prepare special purpose reports, obtain proper authorization for use of government property, maintain awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance, train employees on requirements, and develop and implement process improvements.


  • 5+ years in a government property administration role or related field as a government contractor.
  • Strong working knowledge of the FAR, particularly FAR Part 45, Government Property clause 52.245-1 and relevant DFARS clauses.
  • Property Management System Analysis (PMSA) experience.
  • Proficiency utilizing PCARSS and Property Loss.
  • Government Property reporting experience to DCMA and Prime customers.
  • Working knowledge of IUID Registry and GFP Module.
  • Ability to investigate and reconcile inventory and record discrepancies.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve complex issues with sound judgment, while complying with government regulations and corporate policies.
  • Contract closeout experience.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to effectively educate employees on government regulations and internal policies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • U.S. government position. U.S. Citizenship required.


  • Oracle and Sente systems experience.
  • CPPA or CPPM certification.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
