Project Support Manager at Fraser Health in Surrey, BC

We’re seeking a hardworking colleague for our Information Management Project Office team in the role of Project Support Manager who has a proven track record for getting results, and is passionate about leadership, innovation and project management.

You will bring your strengths in project management services in the areas of managing clinical software upgrades, site rollouts, and related IT projects, coordinating between multiple parties, potentially delivering multiple projects within a program. The successful candidate will manage projects, using Fraser Health’s PMO Lifecycle, and be responsible for project planning, coordination and overall delivery, financials, and status reporting.

You will hone a broad set of skills by:

• Managing a variety of projects that vary in degrees of complexity and scope
• Providing leadership in applying the Fraser Health Project Management Lifecycle to the projects you support
• Performing operational processes efficiently as well as bringing creative ideas for improvement

• Is ever evolving and requires the aptitude to maintain knowledge regarding industry standards in this space

To join our team, we’ll be looking for you to have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or Health Information Science
• Seven (7) years' recent, related experience with contemporary project management practice including three (3) years' experience as a project manager within a complex healthcare environment
• Expertise and knowledge around acute clinical information systems and integration, including experience with HL7 integration (eg. BizTalk) and DICOM is an asset
• Experience in managing complex projects that involve several integrated systems
• Experience with clinical information systems used within acute hospitals (for example: Medical Imaging, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Surgical, and Health Information Management, etc).
• Demonstrated clinical stakeholder engagement experience
• It is an asset if the proponent has experience or knowledge of specific FH processes, downstream clinical applications, and end-to-end clinical and system workflows

You will also have a proven track record of successful project delivery and the ability to create and maintain key relationships needed to obtain the support and dedication of project stakeholders and partners. In addition, you’ll have excellent written and oral communications skills, and be comfortable presenting sophisticated concepts to management, technical, and non-technical staff appropriately. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. You will be able to provide three references that demonstrate your experience in Health Informatics Clinical Systems within the last 5-8 years.

We will give preference to those that have:

• Experience working in the Healthcare Industry with Clinical Information System implementations.
• Experience or Certification in Prince2, IIBA (or other industry recognized PM or Business Analysis designation or standard).
• Experience with managing large scale request for proposals and the BC Bid process
• Experience with presenting to and communicating with Executive teams
• Aptitude to stay apprised of technology advancements, including the wireless space
• Experience with managing multiple cross functional teams
• Ability to work closely with operational teams to meet project turn over requirements and expectations
