As a Project Safety Manager within the Texas Region, you will be based at the DFW Airport Project Office; however, some travel within the State of Texas may be required. You will have the opportunity to work on the DFW project to help maintain and establish the vital infrastructure within DFW. As a Project Safety Manager you will be responsible for working directly with and supporting the Texas Regional Safety Manager as well as various project teams to assist in the implementation and compliance of the company safety and health policies and procedures.


  • Provide assistance to the Texas Regional Safety Manager as directed
  • Provide safety support to project management teams to ensure compliance of OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist in investigating project incidents and completing requiredreports in a timely manner
  • Administer the company drug and alcohol program
  • Conduct and participate in safety audits
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training activities on projects
  • Inventory and order safety supplies and materials as needed
  • Conduct new hire orientations and supervisor orientations
  • Attend pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and otherrequired meetings in the absence of the Texas Regional Safety Manager
  • Maintain knowledge of Flatiron’s company values and strategic plan
  • Support published corporate policies and procedures
  • Perform any additional safety assignments and duties at the direction of the Texas Regional Safety Manager 


  • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) from the BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals) or CSHO (Certified Safety & Health Official) from TEEX or a degree in Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3years project safety management experience in the heavy civil construction industry. Commercial / Industrial safety experience will be considered
  • Bi-Lingual (preferred)
  • DFW experience (preferred)
