Job Description1) Report to the Chair and Vice Chair, Department of Medicine
2) Serve as the primary contact for all QAPI projects in the Department of Medicine
3) Provide Project management support for all QAPI Projects in the Department of Medicine
4) When needed obtain data from all relevant sources including Epic, Finance and others using analytical and reporting tools
5) Utilize Project Management tools and resources as required for all projects
6) Participate in meetings with team members for projects and formats data for review and discussion
7) Oversee placing projects in the prescribed NYC H+H format such as templates
8) Collaborate on projects which involve other departments and other H+H institutions in coordination with the Department of Medicine when needed
9) Collaborate with biostatistician as needed and organize data in a suitable format for statistical analysis
10) Create reports/presentations for local, system, regional and national venues
11) Provide individual and/or team-based management training focused on creating a culture of continuous improvement, pathway to excellence and performance improvement framework
12) Facilitate groups through evidence-based quality improvement activities using QI tools such as Fishbone/Driver Diagrams/Pareto Charts, etc.
13) Assist in planning, development and conducting QI Capacity Building and staff training in Dept of Medicine
14) Assist in designing the Medicine Department Project Improvement (PI) plan and balanced scorecards to ensure all improvements are aligned to the NYC Health and Hospital system wide quality and safety vision/strategic pillars
15) Participates in QAPI /Departmental QA meetings
Minimum Qualifications1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, construction management or in an approved related program; and
2. Five years of responsible capital program implementation-related experience, including at least two years in administration, management, or expediting substantial phases of capital projects; and
3. Ability to handle complex, allied, technical and commercial problems related to various project management functions with independent judgment, tact, and initiative.
4. Related experience may be substituted on a basis of two years of experience to one year of education.
5. Graduate education may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
