Position Summary:

The PM is responsible for planning, estimating, forecasting, providing both program oversight and day-to-day management, leadership, direction, and administration across the full project lifecycle (planning through implementation) on small to medium size projects (up to $5MM+ budget, 10-30 FTEs, 6-12 month durations, and of technical complexity). This person will work with Technology and Business teams as well as the relevant Functional Managers to ensure the project adheres to the project scope and to the Enterprise development standards. This person must provide solutions that meet the business objectives and are within time/cost constraints, while maintaining high business and satisfaction levels. They will also provide guidance to less senior members of the PMCC.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience in project management including the following:

• 5+ years of strong planning and estimating skills and cost management across all phases of the project lifecycle

• 5+ years of experience using planning and estimation software such as Microsoft Project or Clarity

Required Qualifications:

• Working with team leads, functional managers, and project support staff (Architects, DBAs, etc.) to create, maintain, and manage the project schedule

• Establishing, managing, and controlling project scope through a structured scope management process

• Project administration including forecasting setup and tracking, project financials, and time and expense reconciliation

• Building strong teams. Planning for and acquiring team resource needs. Making the most effective use of people involved with the project. This entails day-to-day team management, team communication, identifying and leveraging strong skills while developing others

• Project Communication; Ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, and storage of project information. Preparing project status report and keeping upper management, business clients and others informed of project status and related issues

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with multiple teams, delegating work load and ensuring team efficiency

• Must be able to identify, access and resolve complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate issue resolution and risk mitigation

• Ability to work with business users, understand their needs, and translate such into final project deliverables

• Ability to work with technical resources, understand their needs and coordinate their efforts to deliver the final project solution

• Function as a leader throughout the project lifecycle

• Understanding of software development methodologies such as RUP, Waterfall, Agile, etc.
