Following our recent acquisition of Johnson Industries International, we are now seeking a Project Manager to deliver projects to our Customers in the Cheese industry. In this position, you will work cross-functionally with the sales and engineering teams to deliver complex systems for Mozzarella-making and cheese shredding and cutting equipment globally. This position will be in Windsor, WI. and will report to the Operations Manager. You should be knowledgeable in fluid handling equipment like pumps, control valves and heat exchangers and have a strong understanding of mechanical food equipment including cylinders, linear actuators and motors. We are looking for someone with a good grasp of Project Management fundamentals and willing to be hands on when it comes to delivering engineered solutions.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Have overall responsibility for project execution and provide project leadership to deliver project goals
  • Provide sales support on equipment selections required to meet customers’ needs by giving technical and/or commercial presentations
  • Manage scope changes and issue variation orders
  • Resolve design for manufacturability (DfM), engineering design variations and deficiencies prior to final release
  • Secure project deliverables according to project agreement and act according to responsibilities in the project charter
  • Breakdown and plan the project into phases and fulfil the plan and project milestones in time and in full according to budget
  • Secure project communication and documentation according to project communication plan
  • Provide lesson learned and providing input to improvement or development of processes and tools
  • Keep abreast of new technical or other developments relevant to the engineering, manufacturing, and service and testing of sold products.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineer or similar discipline; or equivalent skills and experience
  • At least 3 years’ Project Management experience
  • Food & Beverage Equipment experience is required, specific Cheese-making equipment is ideal
  • A working knowledge of fluid handling is beneficial
  • Industry Related Regulatory Knowledge (USDA, 3A, CE, OSHA, CFR-113, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project; SAP; SolidWorks or other 3D CAD knowledge
  • Experience with budgeting, fiscal management and project planning
  • Project Management Institute Certification, familiarity with P&IDs and knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs is beneficial, but not required
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and communication skills
  • Negotiations skills and capability to manoeuvre through ambiguous situations effectively
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 75% of the time, especially during the installation and commissioning phases
