DescriptionPosition Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager in our Human Resources department. This position will focus on projects related to compliance, business process improvement and workforce and organizational development enhancements.

An ideal candidate will have a strong Project Management portfolio, experience with continuous improvement and process development with an interest/background in Human Resources.

This candidate will be responsible for the success of assigned large department or mid-size corporate projects with cross-functional effort. Ensure that management’s goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Lead the planning, directing and coordinating activities of project teams. Is primary contact on assigned project(s).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Recruits and assembles project team and assigns individual responsibilities.

• Identifies appropriate resources and prepares project activities, budgets and schedules.

• Creates project contract by interpreting scope and creating objectives of project.

• Understands scope of project and determines the detailed expectations.

• Tracks progress and maintains project budget on assigned projects.

• Identifies project risk(s) and may identify company risk(s).

• Facilitates small to large group meetings and effectively presents and interacts with plant and functional managers.

• Communicates with project customer(s) and steering group (campus management) on project scope (costs, benefits, risks and schedule) and progress.

• Monitors and evaluates all project activities for compliance with project management methodologies, policies and procedures

• Ensures that assigned projects adhere to current project management, security, quality, engineering and customer service requirements and standards

• Manages moderate to high risk within budgetary and resource limits.

• May oversee and negotiate management of moderate project procurement including procurement planning, solicitation, source selection, contract administration and contract close out.

• Develops and implements key components of the Workforce and Leadership Development Roadmap.

• Drives continuous improvement activities within HR

Required:

Education/Experience:

• College or university degree typically required or equivalent work experience that has provided 3+ years of leading departmental projects

Skills/Knowledge:

• Has in-depth knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures related to project management

• Capable of understanding and analyzing data trends

• Solid awareness of industries served and product applications

• Capable of performing effectively with limited supervision

• General understanding of Swagelok project management methodologies

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
