As a member of the Software & Informatics user assistance (UA) team you will be responsible for managing UA projects from initiation to final publishing. Through a mix of online help, PDF manuals, getting started videos and tutorials you will have a key impact on how our customers experience our software. 

This is a highly collaborative role working with Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Support and R&D to establish the User Information Plan for assigned Software and Informatics products. You will work closely with the product development teams during all phases of agile product development process to ensure effective user assistance. 

You will provide guidance to product teams on recommended formats responsive to technical and customer requirements and ensure material adheres to the Agilent documentation and quality assurance standards. 

Working within the User Assistance team you will maximize technical writing resources and budget.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Technical documentation for internal or external audiences, publish
and maintain high-quality help content and user documentation
*Identify user needs, use cases and metrics to focus priorities
*Own the User Information Plan for assigned products
*Design and organize documentation sets for new products
*Manage the production and publishing of documentation
*Manage complex documentation projects
*Participate in scrum activitiesScheduleFull-timeRequirementsMinimum qualifications:
*Bachelors', Masters' or other university degree ideally in English, Journalism, Technical Writing or similar field highly preferred; may consider applicants with equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience
*2+ years of relevant experience, such as technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing experience including writing technical customer-facing materials
*2+ years of experience writing software documentation (APIs, SDKs,
User Manuals, Installation, Administration Guides) DELETE
*Familiarity and/or experience with Robohelp, HTML 
*Experience working with/on Agile Software development teams
*Experience working closely with engineering and product management
teams as part of the software development process
*Experience in project and process management of a documentation set
*Experience in content management systems and/or help tools
*Track record of problem solving and innovation
*Strong cross functional communication -- both written and verbal
*Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, 
constantly changing environment
*Must be able to provide writing samples

Preferred qualifications:
*Proficiency with HTML and CSS; DITA
*Experience with JIRA software, GIT, SharePoint
*Understanding of analytical chemistry
