Project Manager (SAP)
Job Description
Duties: Coordinate IT SAP projects through the process of understanding the original work request, defining functional requirements, estimation, approvals, and the execution and monitoring of the given project once approved. Responsible for status reporting and proper communication throughout the process. Independently perform or coordinate all needed project tasks to ensure a successful delivery that is on time and on budget for projects of any size, but most projects are expected to be the larger key/strategic projects. Build and coordinate the appropriate teams and mentor other analysts in order to manage these projects that will deliver significant business value. Manage project(s) and responsible for a small number of direct reports. Guide their development and perform the appropriate level of performance planning, review, and counseling. Establish control-related standards and procedures.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a directly related field plus eight (8) years of IT or Business Analyst experience delivering Supply Chain ERP projects. Experience must include:
Six (6) years of experience with each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Data processing technology and its application to the solution of systems problems
Four (4) years of experience with each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Inter-relationships and interface requirements among other Business Systems functional areas
- Project management tools and techniques
- Effective use of systems analysis and design techniques
Three (3) years of experience with each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Procurement-to-pay business processes or experience in order-to-cash business processes
- Managing projects utilizing a project management tool
Two (2) years of experience with the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Managing projects utilizing the following project management techniques: Waterfall implementation methodologies; project estimating; project budget management; project plan creation and tracking; project status reporting; project business case development; and project risk and issue management
Six (6) months of experience with the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Multiple full lifecycle implementations with SAP AFS 6.0 MM or SD functional experience
Will accept a Master’s degree plus six (6) years of described experience
Experience may be gained before, during, or after issuance of advanced degree
