Project Manager - Remote
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Program Management Information Solutions (PMIS) team. In this role, project managers are responsible for managing the PMIS on POWER projects and leading a team supporting the configuration and implementation of this tool. The successful candidate will have a background in project management, marketing, presentations, requirements gathering, and engineering or construction consulting experience for utility clients. This position is posted in Boise, ID; but the successful candidate can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please state your location in the application).
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
This individual will be responsible for managing the technical and financial aspects of PMIS projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's services to existing and new clients. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Managing status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled for each project
- Collaborating with environmental, engineering, and construction management project teams
- Providing leadership and mentoring to the project team
- Developing & maintaining schedules, leading/participating in weekly project status meetings with project teams, and overseeing budgets
- Participating in proposal preparation and estimating
- Taking the lead role in client relationships
- Working primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other divisions, as needed
- Demonstrated Project Management skills should include scheduling, budget, and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations
- Promoting company culture and managing internal and external relationships
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in construction management, engineering, or technology required
- Minimum of five (5) years of consulting and client management experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience
- Five (5)+ years of project management experience
- Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
- Knowledgeable in industry-leading project management, document management, and construction management vendors and applications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Desired Education/Experience
- Knowledge of the electric utility industry
- Experience in system requirements gathering and business process development
- Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Working knowledge of business intelligence (BI) vendors and applications used for project or program data analysis and reporting
- Cloud hosting technology knowledge
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and project performance tools
- Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, and/or project lead experience on projects
