NTT DATA, Inc. currently seeks a Project Manager to join our team.- Dallas TX., or Remote with Travel.

?Reporting to the Enterprise Application Services organization, the Project Manager will lead complex software package implementation projects for applications including SAP, Oracle and Salesforce. The Project Manager will be accountable for driving projects to completion on time, within scope and under budget. Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for developing client relationships, managing expectations and becoming a trusted advisor through the course of each assigned project.
Project Management – Demonstrated ability to develop project plans for large ($1 to $10 million) software package implementations and lead cross-functional teams to deliver successfully to plan. Define, develop, and actively manage implementation schedules and project budgets. Manage project scope and utilize appropriate change control mechanisms from inception to closure. Assemble capable personnel to form the project team, prepare team for project kickoff, develop a collaborative culture and provide coaching to optimize performance. Track and report project progress in an objective and consistent manner. Identify, mitigate and resolve risks and issues leveraging escalation processes as appropriate. Identify key internal and external project stakeholders, clarify roles/responsibilities and employ communication strategies to ensure stakeholder support and satisfaction.
Technical Knowledge – Functional knowledge of the software package being deployed (Oracle, SAP, and/or Salesforce.com). Working knowledge of systems integration practices including configuration, customization and integration. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle including waterfall, agile and hybrid methodologies. Experience using project management tools for maintaining scope, schedule and budget.
Quality Management – Ensure project consultants are delivering to configuration, development, and methodology standards. Clearly articulate delivery process and deliverable expectations. Incorporate an appropriate level of quality audits and testing into every project. Regularly review consultant work, provide improvement feedback and drive accountability to deliver committed work on time and as specified. Conduct 'lessons learned' reviews and provide feedback to improve future performance.
Customer Satisfaction – Develop a clear definition of project success from the client's perspective. Ensure client and NTT success objectives are aligned and, if not, drive remediation efforts to obtain proper alignment. Clearly communicate realistic project delivery commitments and consistently deliver against those commitments. Build an inclusive and collaborative relationship with client resources on the project team. Obtain a client satisfaction rating for each project and achieve a score at or exceeding corporate target benchmark. Strive to achieve a referenceable result from each project.
Sales Support – Support late stage sales opportunities to close new business that meets client needs in a manner that is achievable and profitable to NTT. Participate in client requirements gathering, solution definition and proposal presentation meetings with sales pursuit team. Ensure project scope, schedule, resource and budget plans are realistic. Identify and effectively communicate additional sales opportunities throughout the course of each project.
Key Skills and Position Requirements
5+ years of systems integration project management experience on enterprise-level implementations.
3+ years of software package project management experience on at least one of the following platforms: Oracle, Salesforce.com and SAP.
Previous management consulting experience strongly preferred.
Advanced level project scope, schedule and budget management skills and familiarity with associated project management tools.
Experience managing both waterfall and agile software development methodologies. Previous Scrum Master experience is desirable.
Must have a strong working knowledge of software build, test and release processes.
Familiarity with organization change management methods (e.g., process definition, communications, training)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership internally and externally.
Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Comfortable with negotiations and conflict management.
Must have the ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple professional disciplines (e.g., Solution Designers, Technical Architects, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Systems Administrators).
Demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor project resources.
Must have the ability to multi-task across and within projects. work with multiple clients at a time and effectively manage their individual needs during implementation cycles.
Must have the ability (and preference!) to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, hectic, and energetic environment.
Must have the ability to work independently with remote project teams.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support client/project requirements (up to 70%).
Education and Certifications Preferred As Applicable:
PMP Certification or Equivalent
CSM or Equivalent Preferred
Oracle, Salesforce.com or SAP Training/Certification
