This role is accountable for the management of assigned enterprise-wide projects, cross-functional projects within Technology units, spanning a broad range of IT components.  Accountable for ensuring successful completion of project objectives. For optimum success in this role, it will be essential for you to be: resourceful, drive results, collaborative, a nimble learner and drive engagement. You will be accountable for

  • Defining, planning, tracking and managing projects assigned including managing and delivering IT component of the project.
  • Technology platforms business readiness where applicable.
  • Identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives.
  • Organizing of the work, assigning tasks, directing activities, ensuring required. documentation is planned for and completed, identifying and managing cross-project dependencies, risk, issues, controlling project execution, reporting progress.
  • Managing project schedule and task details and utilize project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklists, and project scheduling software and to delegate appropriately. 
  • Managing changes to project scope. 
  • Adhering to Moneris Project Management Process by evaluating the effectiveness of project tools and standards and finding ways to improve practices and processes.
  • Ensuring that across Technology platforms, all development and associated QA work is completed, and implementation is synchronized.
  • Ensuring that upon completion of all assigned projects, all relevant documentation and required handoff information is completed, and that other proper close-out procedures are performed.
  • Ensuring accurate representation of all Technology projects tasks and resource allocations in support of capitalization under thefinancialportfolio management function.
  • Identifying and raise project challenges/hurdles that may affect other initiatives.
  • Working with the Technology Project Office, Project Management Office, and other business members to clearly define project scope and timelines.
  • Fostering and nurture a positive and collaborative relationship between all business units, Project Management Support & Services team and the IT teams to ensure that all project deliverables, requirements, and dependencies are being met, communicated and synchronized among all groups, and the rest of the organization.
  • Promoting Project Management best-practice through example, as well as formal and informal networks.

 Your experience includes

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or a related field.
  • PMP designation is considered a strong asset.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management.
  • 2 years of focused experience in a technology project management environment.
  • Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications.
  • Understanding of SDLC, Project Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple projects through the life cycle steps of initiation, planning, execution and project closure.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal).
  • Comfortable dealing with senior management.
  • Possess the ability to constructively confront people and issues.
  • Detail oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, able to work on own, within a team, leading cross functional teams and with external vendors.
  • Demonstrates high levels of Energy and Achievement Motivation.
  • Strong cross-functional team management skills.
  • Good negotiation skills; Able to be a team player.
  • Possess high level of initiative.
  • Innovative, proactive and forward thinking.
  • Good facilitation, time management, organizational skills.
