NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Project Manager to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin (US-WI), United States (US).

The IV&V Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delegating the activities of the IV&V team, to provide IV&V services required by the contract. He/she will actively participate in the development and delivery of IV&V services and associated deliverables. The IV&V Project Manager will support and work closely with clients and contractor management during the design, development, implementation and certification of systems or complex enhancements to multiple state health care IT projects.

Additional duties include:

  • Facilitate regular IV&V meetings with the client
  • Obtain client agreement regarding IV&V scope, deliverable content, and deliverable schedule
  • Perform IV&V services according to the agreed upon scope, content, and schedule
  • Maintain control over the assignments, schedule, and performance of the project team members
  • Manage and report on project issues
  • Assess project risk and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies applied
  • Prepare and deliver IV&V written assessments/reports to client
  • Prepare and deliver internal client monthly project reviews
  • Prepare and present IV&V assessments at steering committee and other meetings on a regular basis
  • Ensure client IV&V methodology is applicable and IV&V services yield value for the client
  • Provide recommendations to the client on critical business and project decisions
  • Ensure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicable
  • Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams
  • Interface daily with the client and vendor(s)
  • Lead, attend and contribute in project meetings with client and vendor(s)
  • Responsible for the team providing timely, high quality service and deliverables

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing project teams of 3 or more staff
  • 3+ years of experience performing or managing IV&V services for large system implementation, integration and development
  • Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (Waterfall or Agile development)
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing health care solutions
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing or managing IV&V services for large system implementation, integration, and development
  • Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment that considers the dynamics of physical, social, psychological, and environmental factors
  • Ability to assess potential problems and make sound judgments around issues that may have an adverse effect on the business
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build client rapport and develop/discipline/reward employees
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and change


  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of total work experience or 9+ years of total work experience without a bachelor's degree
