AECOM is seeking a talented Transportation Project Manager for the MARTA AECOM program. Will be responsible for overseeing multiple small to large size projects,  conduct project reviews, and promote technical excellence through the quality assurance process.

  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes
  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule
  • Facilitates weekly meetings with PMO team to review project status and formulate action items
  • Expedites distribution of action items throughout the PMO team following discussions/meetings with the client and key stakeholders
  • Manage schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities
  • Determines  the budgets for the assigned task orders, monitors progress to maintain those work orders
  • Maintains responsibility for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives
  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned task order or subtask
  • Mobilizes program resources, through liaison with support departments, clients, or stakeholders, to ensure that the project management team has the appropriate resources to complete quality work
  • Works withother department managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project
  • Ensures that projects meet or exceed goals established in these plans
  • Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths
  • Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates
  • Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives and contract terms
  • Informs engineering team on milestones of projects, impact to the program, and requirements
  • Ensures all proper requirements and supporting development deliverables for projects are accounted for and well documented
  • Maintains strategic partnerships with clients and stakeholders to establish prioritization of requirements specific to each task order
  • Supports  process improvement initiatives
  • Performs otherresponsibilitiesassociated with this position as may be appropriate

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Information Technology
  • 10+ years of related work experience, and previous project management experience on integrated systems
  • Ability to manage a project up to $100 million in total cost
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity utilizing solid problem solving and employee relation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required
  • Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
  • Working knowledge of cost control, schedule control, document control and project administration
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software
  • Working knowledge of earned-value methods of assessing and reporting physical progress
  • Working knowledge of engineering work program development process
  • Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Leadership  and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Projects and SharePoint
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management and/or agency staff
