Project Manager   Candidate should have the following specialized skills: 

  • Participated in and have knowledge related to Terminal Automation Projects
  • Be knowledgeable of TehcnipFMC's Fuel-Facs suite of software products
  • Have worked with large companies in the Downstream Market Space
  • +15years experience in Terminal Automation
  • Have managed resources in a Project Team Environment
  • Have a working knowledge of IT in Automation Projects
  • Experience in the lifecycle of Terminal Automation Projects
  • Experience in the startup and commissioning of Terminal Automation Projects
  • Experience in coordination with Software Development

  Function Full responsibility for all activities necessary to accomplish the “successful completion” of CSI Projects which are assigned to the Project Manager.  This includes responsibility and accountability for all technical, financial, and commercial aspects of assigned projects, plus personnel management related thereto. Ultimately, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that their project systems perform in accordance with applicable project documents, are delivered in accordance with the project schedule, and are within project budget.   Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and execute project contracts
  • Participate directly in project contract negotiations
  • Assist in sales activities and quotation preparation as required
  • Act as primary point of contact with the customer
  • Oversee and contribute to technical project specification and design
  • Resolve unusual technical challenges
  • Make final decisions on/be ultimately responsible for the resolution of technical deadlocks
  • Prepare, present, defend, and update project schedules
  • Be responsible for a project’s total profit (or loss)
  • Insure that project materials are properly specified, purchased at the lowest price possible, and received as required by the overall project schedule
  • Acquire sufficient staff for assigned projects plus help staff all other projects in cooperation with Technical Managers, other Project Managers, and Engineering Management
  • Logically divide a project scope of work, in cooperation with Technical Managers, and assign the resulting tasks to project team members, striving for the most efficient possible utilization of personnel resources
  • Supervise project team members throughout each project
  • Perform document preparation, coding, configuration, physical labor, or any other project implementation activity as may be required
  • Be personally responsible for project quality control/quality assurance or delegation and supervision of authority to project QA/QC personnel
  • Prepare and/or review project testing documents
  • Participate in and be responsible for successful in-house and witnessed system testing
  • Be responsible for timely packing and shipping of the system, as well as arrangements for receipt and storage, per contract requirements
  • Assign personnel for all required on-site project activities and maintain on-going communications with said personnel to ensure continued progress
  • Determine, prepare, price, present and justify to the client all project change orders
  • Oversee final acceptance of the system by the customer
  • Perform warranty administration
  • Monitor invoice preparation and perform final review and approval of invoices prior to issuance
  • Assist with collection of accounts receivable if required
  • Supply accurate and timely project data to Finance for the purpose of updating the  Cost Accounting System
  • Keep Senior Management informed as to the status of assigned Projects and concerning potential problems or opportunities which may require action or extra-ordinary attention
  • Interview and hire new personnel, be directly involved in salary reviews of engineering staff members, and administer employee reviews and salary actions, all in cooperation with other Project Managers and Senior Management
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and contribute to the generation and modification of same as required
  • Exercise prudent signature authority for the following:
  • “Engineering (Checked)” space on the PROPOSAL APPROVAL FORM
  • Facsimiles which do not contain monetary figures or contractual commitments
  • Shipping request forms
  • Material requisitions for any requisition which is charged to a Project
  • Material requisition of any (i.e., unlimited) value if said requisition is related to the Project Manager’s assigned Project
