Overview

This role requires strong leadership, communication and analytical skills who is an expert in project management. He/she will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects and will oversee all aspects of projects, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.

He/she will prepare status reports and resource allocation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Keys to success for this position are based on the incumbent’s ability to work successfully with project team members while still ensuring that projects are completed successfully and with resource and time constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Managing projects from inception to release
  • Manage multiple software/hardware related projects of significant complexity, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and on budget and that issues are escalated to management
  • Management of software/hardware release cycles
  • Tracking and triaging of ‘bugs’ and customer issues related to assigned projects
  • Implement detailed project plans, budgets and resource allocations using the Neighborhood Project Management Methodology
  • Under the direction of the sponsoring Business Line Director, in addition to the Lead Project Manager, serve as the Project Manager for new projects as assigned
  • Keep the project managementreporting process updated
  • Prepare and compile periodic progress reports for the Senior Management Team
  • Mentor and train Project Managers from other business lines concerning the planning and implementation of a project
  • Provide weekly status reports on each project
  • Keep detailed work plans updated with status and resource changes
  • Ensure that each project team member has the necessary skills needed for the project.  If a team member doesn’t posses the skills needed the Project Manager will work with the team member and their direct supervisor to get what is needed
  • Conduct Post Go Live evaluation of the projects goals, objectives and measures and provides the Lead Project Manager and the Business Line Director with the written copy of the evaluation in a timely fashion
  • Develops and implements detailed project plans including delineated project tasks, resource requirements, interdependencies and schedules
  • Coordinates multiple simultaneous projects and initiatives
  • Assembles project teams and ensures that schedules are met and standards adhered to
  • Identifies risk areas and problems that could inhibit successful project completion
  • Develop options and/or recommendations and communications to appropriate project/department Director for resolution
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for complying with Neighborhood’s Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and  the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related area, Information Technology
  • Four (4) to Six (6) years’ experience
  • Three (3)+ years’ of project managementexperience with system implementations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and to interact, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Confident team builder and leader with strong motivational skills
  • Adept in problem solving and resolving conflict
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to establish detailed project plans with accurate resource allocation and time estimates
  • Capable of understanding technical detail to help prioritize and triage issues
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have outstanding time management and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Three (3)+ years’ experience in a medical and/or HMO environment
  • Experience in demonstrating leadership, influence and collaboration in a matrix-managed environment
  • Project Management certification
  • Experience in mentoring and training colleagues
