Responsibilities

Job Knowledge:  Seasoned professional in the PeopleSoft Technology family. This is the level of full competence that all professionals are expected to achieve in the function.    
Leadership/Directing of Others: Manages program and project implementation and makes significant contributions to programgoals and planning efforts.  May have supervisory responsibilities and/or direct the work of other.    
Problem Solving/Complexity: Assignments are typically broad in nature, requiring discretion and ingenuity. Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem-solving skills to resolve complex situations. Typically confers with managers or superiors on unusually complex matters.
Supervision Received/Independent Judgement:  Operates with considerable latitude performing work with instruction limited to results expected.  

 

This role manages a team of PeopleSoft developers, help desk, change management  and business analysts in serving the broad and unique needs to the Foreign Service community.  The individual will be highly relied upon by senior Federal leaders for cost effective and innovative solutions, and will be a key member of Buchanan & Edward’s HR line of business

 

Detailed Job Responsibilities

 

Lead operations & maintenance effort for a 9.1 PeopleSoft Human Capital Management system.  Manage complete O&M release cycle.

Mananage product backlog,  setting priorities and maintaining implementation schedules

Manage client expectations, including understanding client’s short term and long term goals.  Translate goals into achievable incremental releases

Develop future technology strategies to assist the client in becoming more efficient and better positioned for long-term success

Apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve engagement, productivity, mitigaterisks, and resolve issues

Provides management of functional HR/EX Functional staff in providing requirements, system specifications and testing supportfor the customers PeopleSoft HCM application.

Meeting with users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to define and document business requirements

Works with the BE  DOS HR Progam Manager in support of BE initiatives.

 

 

Qualifications

 

PMP required

PeopleSoft Certification(s) 

5+ Years as a Manager on PeopleSoft projects

3+ years of experience in managing Government PeopleSoft Projects

5+ years of Technical and/or functional experience with PeopleSoft 8.x or higher versions

Excellent writtern and verbal communication skills
