Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for facilitating and coordinating all design and construction phases of multiple campus construction renovations, complex facilities technical projects, and other projects as assigned. The incumbent will work closely withthe Facilities Management department staff and other company departments and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of consultants (architects, engineers, construction firms and other consultants and vendors) as well as cost and schedule controls ofprojects.

  • Facilitate the development of project scope and programming with end user
  • Develop and manage the project scope, budget, and schedule throughout the entire term of the project
  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact with end user, consultants, and contractors
  • Monitor and report on progress of projects
  • Coordinate all related project documents including, but not limited to, construction drawings, as-builts, warranties, and post-closeout process
  • Assist in space management and utilization of campus buildings, as may be required
  • Duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in design, facilities, and/or construction project management required
  • Must have experience solving design, construction, and complex facilities technical issues
  • Requires excellent verbal and communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Well-developed attention to details and accuracy; strong problem -solving skills; customer service oriented; multi-tasking abilities; good time management skills; and must be able to lead diverse groups of individuals to meet project goals and objectives
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Projects, and PMIS software experience is desirable
  • Must be able to tour construction sites in order to monitor progress and adherence to project specifications
  • Must be available to work some evening and weekends, as required
