General Summary:

The Project Manager - Healthcare, with some supervision from the Director of Healthcare Practice, will assist in the development of the design work; lead the production of technical drawings and specifications; coordinate the related work of the other disciplines; and assume in-house construction administration duties on projects of all sizes. This position may require domestic and/or international travel. This position requires healthcare project experience to lead healthcare renovation, expansion, and new construction projects for hospitals, ambulatory facilities, and other and medical facilities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to manage large projects and teams, mentor staff and day-to-day client interaction

  • Establish the factual parameters of the design work (e.g., code, site restrictions, budget and schedule restraints, etc.); identify building systems options and related performance and cost criteria; and assist in the presentation of design documents

  • Formulate the project work plan based on an approved scope of work. Lead the execution of the various tasks identified therein. Assume primary responsibility for the daily activities of the architectural project team and the progress of the work and for the technical quality of the Construction Documents (drawings and specifications)

  • In collaboration with the Senior Project Manager(s), will adhere to the project schedule and budget; and will identify changes to the scope of the work and related repercussions on the project schedule and budget. Advise the Director of Healthcare Practice of changes in the project workload

  • Initiate and orchestrate the work of the entire project team (the various engineering and interiors disciplines, and other consultants), and facilitate the timely exchange of information between all project team member; assume responsibility for the coordination of all disciplines, documents, and for insuring that quality control procedures are enforced

  • Perform all in-house construction administration duties: respond to RFI’s, review and approve shop drawings, issue bulletins, etc.; assist in providing field-representation services (at the request of the Director of Healthcare Practice)

  • Help maintain and improve office architectural standards, details and production tools, mentor Architectural staff

  • Performs related duties as assigned


Employment Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture or Engineering

  • Masterspreferred

  • Registered Architect and/or Professional Engineer preferred


  • 15+ years related Project Management experience


  • Proficient in MS Project, Microsoft Office, and Project Wise

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strong attention to detail
