EYP is seeking a Project Manager who will represent the firm to clients, manage the client's expectations and experience and manage the overall performance of the A/E team on projects. The Project Manager may be involved in business development initiatives as needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall management of A/E team(s), delegating project tasks as required
  • Develop and maintain project work plans
  • Develop and maintain contractual agreements
  • Ensure budget and schedule compliance
  • Overall responsibility for consultant activities
  • Review timesheet edits and project invoicing
  • Assemble and maintain the project delivery handbook
  • Serve as single point of contact with the client, managing the client's expectations and experience
  • Chair client meetings
  • Prepare reports indicating project(s) progress
  • Complete staff performance appraisals
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Continue education through seminars and participation in professional organization activities
  • May participate in business development opportunities for the firm including assisting in responses to RFPs, making project presentations, calling on prospects, networking, writing articles and participating in professional seminars

 Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or other relevant discipline is required
  • At least 15years of project managementexperience
  • At least 8years of experience in project delivery
  • Must be licensed or pursuing license; 10 years of project managementexperience in an architecture firm may be considered in lieu of license
  • Project Management certification preferred
  • Experience working with Federal Government Agencies on various project types including modernization, office and laboratory research
  • Must possess strong analytical skills with a strategic orientation, as well as conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to coordinate with and lead consultant teams
  • Adaptable and objective with strong negotiation skills
  • Can confront peers, subordinates, consultants, contractors and clients constructively
  • Excellent team management and client management skills
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Understands and works collaboratively within the firm’s organizational structure
  • Demonstrated ability to hold team members accountable to deadlines and commitments
  • Demonstrates leadership that align with the firm’s values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent grasp of fundamentals and knowledge of theoretical and practical developments in the field
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Vision, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word software
  • Ability to generate and maintain a work plan
  • Excellent time management skills
