The Global Events Team is responsible for supporting, consulting and delivering experiential events to Googlers and their customers so they may thrive through learning, collaboration, and social interaction. Our team works with a variety of vendors to provide great service, excellent production, and end-to-end event consultancy and support.

As the Project Manager with the Global Events Team, you will be the lead for implementation, organization, and coordination of event program projects. Your focus will be on global event processes, standards, structures, and communications as it relates to client touchpoints and the entire event operations. You will define, research, and run multiple projects to enhance the event experience and identify event operational efficiencies. Additionally, you willbe involved in defining, researching, and measuring event specific projects and tracking data prior to, during, and post implementation. You will be the lead for all event data collection and reporting and assist with any data requests from event design to better define future event space needs and requirements. Providing ongoing event industry research will be a key part of your role, as you assist in identifying trends and tools that may provide excellent benefits to events at Google.

Responsibilities

  • Implement project management plans for global and local event related processes surrounding the client journey and operational deliverables driving decisions and recommendations through data analysis.
  • Utilize project management tools to quickly identify any client pain points and immediate operational opportunities to either improve or enhance the experience.
  • Define and establish client journey process maps as part of projects. Define establishing maps for each operational component that touches the client.
  • Develop and prepare project documentation to identify process improvements goals for individual event teams who may engage the client.
  • Coordinate, moderate and, execute both internal and cross-functional meetings, establishing agendas, identifying action items, and driving to successful completion and follow up action items.
