This job is assigned Americas IT projects and accountable for delivering business results and managing the plan for successfully implementing process and technology changes across multiple stakeholder groups. The work requires regular and effective communication with business unit and sponsors and other key stakeholders to report progress, resolve issues and mitigate risks where necessary. If a project is struggling to achieve milestones and moves into a Red or Yellow/Amber status, the Project Manager conducts root cause analysis and creates a plan to put the project or program on a path to Green.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee projects that span across multiple regions, business units, and/or service lines.
  • Define and implement the project structure, approach, and plan including inter-dependencies and critical success factors
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team
  • Maintain effective working relationship with:
  • internal customers
  • project teams and stakeholders
  • contractors and suppliers
  • Manage key inter-dependencies with internal and external groups
  • Manage changes in project direction, scope, costs and timing
  • Provide direction for all risks and issues
  • Implement and manage the governance to ensure effective reporting and communication
  • Comply with and maintain standardized project management processes
  • Manage financial budgets for projects (invoice tracking)
  • Monitor and report project status and financials
  • Coordinates IT support resources across multiple brands, divisions, and departments, local and remote locations

Knowledge and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of project and program lifecycle, including development of business cases and mobilization
  • Knowledge of different program and project management methodologies (waterfall, agile)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in technology management positions
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time, on budget and exceeding expectations

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.
