ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS

  • Efficiently and successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Oversee quality control throughout the project’s life cycle.
  • Coordinate the efforts of Partner team members, both in-house and outside consultants.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the Partner team members and the Client in order to successfully deliver a quality product and service within a designated time frame.
  • Assess and monitor contractor and subcontractors.
  • Perform construction site visits and observations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications:
  • Must be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting: architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing drawings and specifications, as well as for any other discipline provided in regard to completion of the project.
  • Building and site cost estimation
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills
  • Ability to work independently and accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines
  • Effectively communicate project expectations (i.e. Client-specific SOW, templates) to team members and staff in a timely and clear fashion throughout the course of the project.
  • Provide solid recommendations and solutions to relationship managers and clients, while understanding the Reports’ potential impact on the transaction process.
  • Identify and resolve issues with projects.
  • Deliver appropriate reports, recommendations to the Relationship Manager, and Client and updates as may be necessary
  • Manage client follow-up, questions, and concerns.
  • Communicate and coordinate follow up questions with field staff during review process
  • Coordinate and respond to client requests for changes in project scope, address revisions.
  • Facilitate delivery of final report and invoice. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive knowledge of Construction including, but not limited to contracts, design drawings/specifications – Civil, Architectural, MEP, Structural, Budgets and estimates – construction accounting, Scheduling, Peer review and 3rdparty technical reports, Code and Accessibility requirements
  • Knowledge of building components, details and systems
  • Understanding construction administration process
  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently – production with quality
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a product on time
  • Exceptional writing skills, specifically regarding technical language as it translates to a Client
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
  • Understanding the concept of consulting as it pertains to risk management and construction activities
  • Proficient in project accounting and financial components of development and project budgets, payment applications, funding and disbursement, back-up document collection and control 
  • Microsoft programs, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree from accredited university
  • Minimum 15 years relevant experience with an Architecture, Construction Management, Real Estate, or Construction firm
  • On-site project constructionexperiences a must
  • Construction accounting and estimating experience a must
  • Sales and marketing experience a strong plus
  • A valid driver’s license

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens
  • Must be able to visit a construction job site and maneuver around and through construction activities
