Position Summary

Leveraging a strong customer focus, this position is responsible for improving the quality, safety, and consistency of telecommunications tower modification construction and engineering processes while retaining a strong focus on the business impacts. Responsible for the effective management of all designated projects and their associated budgets and schedules; including coordinating all deliverables and requirements of the entire cross-functional project team.  Ensure all projects are completed according to the underlying contract and to mutually agreed upon timelines of the customer and Crown Castle and are in accordance with Crown Castle’s policies and procedures.  Ensure stakeholders (team, cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors) are fully aware of the project/program/standard development key requirements and constraints to ensure all programs are developed, evaluated, and implemented considering a holistic business impact.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage assigned projects from inception to completion including but not limited to planning, procurement, scope, quality, communications, budgets, changes, risks, requirements, integration, and schedules.

  • Develop and continuously maintain construction and engineering programs including but not limited to program planning, cross-functional collaboration, internal and external training, developing quality metrics, and on-going program improvement.

  • Create construction and engineering program/project standards in accordance with industry codes/policies while focusing on minimizing business impacts.

  • Lead internal and external team meetings with other managers and team members to review the status of each project and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.

  • Provide consultation service to internal and external customers as necessary in regards to design, construction, and inspection questions.

  • Seek opportunity to improve the tower modification process and manage process development and implementation across all lines of business.

  • Recognize opportunities for efficiency gains and offer solutions through business proposal development.

  • Ensure that all projects/programs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.

    Education/Certifications

  • Bachelors Degreerequired;

  • Engineering or Construction Management Degreepreferred

  • A valid driver’s license required

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

    Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of project management or engineeringexperience

    Other Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; both written and verbal

  • Customer service orientation with a strong problem solving approach

  • Ability to lead indirect, cross-functional, and interdepartmental teams in project development and implementation

  • Ability to develop appropriate monitoring or quality assurance programs to evaluate ongoing project success

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Ability to perform data analysis, optimization, estimation, projections, and reporting

  • Ability to independently manage and process multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work in a deadline intensive environment

  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, asset management, tower maintenance and property management

  • Technical writing ability/aptitude to author technical documentation and related communications appropriate for all levels of the organization

  • Knowledge of construction management and/or constructioninspection processes preferred

  • Knowledge of steel design, concrete design and their construction processes preferred

  • Knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA 222 preferred but not required
