Serves as project manager developing detailed project plans and technical specifications that enumerate resources requirements and timelines. Manages and guides the design and development of software and online courses in collaboration with learning designers, media producers and software developers. Tracks and reports progress for assigned projects.

-Manages and guides the design and development of software and online courses in collaboration with learning designers, media producers and software developers. Works with faculty to collaboratively identify and articulate innovative digital project ideas and suggest creative applications of digital, online and multimedia resources to enhance teaching and learning. Serves as project manager, developing project plans that enumerate resources requirements and timelines for completion. Tracks and reports progress for assigned projects. Estimates project resource needs. Develops relationships with vendors that supply project resources.

-Designs and creates interactive multimedia and technology-enhanced course materials and resources, including online modules, simulations, and graphical content. Research current and emerging technologies for enhancing courses and teaching materials to serve learning objectives. Creatively integrate design-based approaches to construct digital learning environments.

-Support the development of blended, hybrid, or fully online courses or course modules using edX, Coursera or Canvas. Consults with faculty to redesign existing courses. Identify opportunities for modularity in course design. Convert existing course materials to function optimally in blended and online contexts. Collaborate on the development of new course materials and resources suitable for partially or fully online environments.

-Works with the CTL staff to contribute toward the development of special projects that arise during the year, such as grant-supported digital modules; interdisciplinary collaborative projects; etc. Other duties and special projects, as required.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree and 3 – 5 years experience or equivalent required.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

-Interest in the field of teaching and learning and in using technical expertise to solve educational challenges and

awareness of pedagogical concepts and instructional technology issues required.

-Proven experience leading multi-functional teams in the creation of software- and web-based projects. Knowledge of project management essentials and project management tracking software (i.e Jira) required.

-Knowledge of instructional technology tools required.

-Knowledge of web content creation, specifically massive open online courses (MOOCs) required.

Preferred Qualifications

-Familiarity with programming concepts and techniques preferred.

-Programming or scripting experience preferred.
