Project Manager Responsibilities:

-Liaison between company and project owner.

-Liaison between field staff and main office.

-Reading/Managing plans, P6 cpm schedules, coordinate detailed phases of heavy/highway projects.

-Quantity reconciliation, material buyout, and subcontractor management.

-Verifies that applicable codes, engineering standards and environmental commitments are being met.

-Reviews and approves scopes, budgets and schedules.

-Has knowledge of and responsibility for job cost.

-Work with and supervise/mentor/train less experienced staff to complete assignments.

-Participate in meetings and presentations with owners and othercontractors.


Project Manager Qualifications:

-Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or similar degree.

-8-10 years of highway / heavy civil constructionexperience.

-Experience managing ODOT (Ohio Department ofTransportation), INDOT (Indiana Department ofTransportation), and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet projects.


Project Manager Skills:

-Proficient with Primavera 6, HCSS HeavyJob, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office XP (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) software.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.

-Diversified knowledge of project management principles and practices in broad areas related to highway, utilities, infrastructure, and earthwork.

-Ability to solve complex issues with limited direction.


Project Manager Working Conditions:

-Willingness to work non-traditional hours if required.
