Project Manager-Castle Contracting

Castle Contracting, a wholly owned company of McCarthy, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects across the region. The Project Manager will lead the Field Staff in the construction of the entire Project. Provide leadership to the project staff and ensure quality and timely completion of Project.

Responsibilities

  • Typically oversee multiple projects
  • Competently manage all scopes: MEP, Site GC, Earthwork, Sewer/Water, and Specialty
  • Participate with Pre-Construction during bid phase
  • Participate with Pre-Construction in development of a Project Budget
  • Responsible for P&L on each project. Become thoroughly knowledgeable of projected costs,        contingent liabilities and contingent savings/increased profits
  • Establish/maintain a good relationship with client PM, owner, design team and subcontractors
  • Work with sales, developing new relationships and targeting new opportunities
  • Serve as a liaison between the office and field, while coordinating staffing and movement of field personnel
  • Monitor and review status of subcontractors and shop drawing/submittal process
  • Coordinate with Project Superintendent/Foreman & Field Management on project site logistics
  • Prepare a constructionschedule and monitor and manage schedule performance
  • Independently review schedule, looking for ways to expedite construction and predict problems
  • Oversee quality management program to achieve contract compliance and a quality project
  • Champion job site safety effort, motivating the on-site team in the implementation of Castle safety guidelines
  • Work with Project  Accounting and oversee the pay request and change order management process

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working as general contractor, or subcontractor, on sitework or heavy civil related projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required
  • General knowledge of construction principles/practices required
  • Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work
  • Experience leading successful project team, including development of employee and  maintaining  relationships with external entities
