Job Description:Initiates and supports new business development, market and strategic analysis activities as they relate to business opportunities under consideration. Leads and manages projects from concept through analysis and evaluation to the development of an action plan in preparation for transition to implementation. Works independently and negotiates with external business entities,internal Sentara employees, leaders, executives, and physicians as it relates to project assignments. Analyzes, interprets andapplies data and proactively seeks out information that could have an impact on the performance of existing and prospective businesses.
Bachelor’s Level Degree OR
Master’s Level Degree – Experience in lieu of education: Yes
Required: Healthcare Administration – 3 years
Preferred: Business Development – 5 years, Strategic Planning – 5 years

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing or Health Administration. Five years of business development or strategic planning experience is required if applicant does not have Masters degree. Masters level degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing or Health Administration preferred. Former participants of the Sentara Administrative Fellowship program who have completed the rotation schedule are eligible for consideration even if experience requirements are not met.
