Neiman Marcus Information Services has an immediate opening for a Project Lead in Application Management. This position will be responsible for the project and strategic planning and implementation within Merchandising Systems and Application Management areas of responsibility supporting the Neiman Marcus business. This position will be part of a team of professionals providing designing, planning, and implementing applications across a broad range of IT environments and systems. Primary internal customers include merchants, planners, supply chain and finance.
Successful candidates will have familiarization with a subset of the following skills and systems:
Analytical Thinking / Troubleshooting
Windows Server / Batch Programming
Linux/UNIX skills / Script programming
Web Server / Middleware (Apache/IIS/Tomcat)
Various monitoring tools usage
An understanding of networking
General telecom knowledge
Previous experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of Production, Test, and Development environments; with strong focus on customer service and forward strategic thinking is required.
Broad experience across multiple areas of IT disciplines is more valuable than deep experience in a small number of areas.
3+ years system administrator experience (Windows / Unix / Linux / AIX).
3+ years experience scripting in Perl, korn/bash shell, and/or other scripting languages.
1+ year(s) enterprise monitoring experience.
Working knowledge of a subset of the following applications is a plus:
Oracle Retail Merchandising, Oracle ReSA, Oracle Planning, Oracle Retail Price Management
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong oral and writing communication skills
Demonstrated ability to be a team player, and have excellent customer service skills
Must be able to work both independently, as well as on a team, with minimal supervisor
Knowledge and use of agile principles is a plus
ITIL certification and knowledge is a plus
Minimum 4 years Computer Science, or equivalent work experience is required.
